Dad's Toolkit

Dad's Toolkit provides the opportunity for men to view violence 'through the eyes of their children;' in Ballarat from 5 February 2018

The Dad’s Tool-Kit Program will be run in Ballarat for 8 consecutive weeks on Mondays at 11am to 1pm.

A 2hr x 8 week forum for men to explore and challenge their beliefs and understanding of their use of violence in the home and its impact on their partners and children. Using diagrammatical conversations and role-plays men are encouraged to reflect upon their actions ‘through the eyes of their children’ and they are invited to take ownership of their behaviour whilst developing and practising healthy parenting styles. The program strives to help men develop insight into their child’s need for safety, stability, identity and wellbeing and to be the dad who helps make sure these needs are met.

“Dad’s Tool-Kit” is joint venture of CAFS Family Violence and CAFS Family Services programs.
